It is a Misprint, its not : it is ,

Tried and tasted by Nivedita
Hi All,
My daughter again with her innocence :
Two days back, there was an article in Deccan Herald with the title -
Keep away your children from TV screen, Computer : Study
I showed it to my elder daughter. My intention was to make her aware of the bad effects of TV and Computer.
But she came with her interpretation :
She told me,
Mamma, there is a mistake in printing. It should be
Keep away your children from TV screen, Computer , Study!!!!
She thought that the : mark is misprinted and there should be , in that place.
She told me back that see even paper says we should be away from study!!!!
Any explanation for this!?????

Life and Laugh again!!!

Tried and tasted by Nivedita
Hi All,
From past one week, I was in tension for my daughter's study. Her unit tests have started this week and she was not studying at all. I am not a mother who is behind marks or rank. But I want her to study regularly for some time and I want her to understand what ever she is studying. I do not want her to by heart everything and get full marks. Her problem is concentration. She won't sit in one place for more than 10 minutes. This time it was out of control as she was not understanding few lessons in Maths and Kannada.
So I was worried and was shouting at her.
Three days back, when I was scolding her, she told " Mamma, do not take tension, I will do well in the exam" I asked her how is she going to do, without studying at all.
Can you guess her answer??
She told in a cool voice " mamma, I will just keep my hand on my heart and tell   'all iz well, all is well, all is well' !!!!!!

My two year daughter's language

Tried and tasted by Nivedita
Hi all,

Not yet come out of Diwali mood!! Still having sweets and meeting people.

I always had one wish, that is to learn baby language! It is very cute and  innocent. But,  if we start to understand baby language, the joy will vanish. So it is better to guess their talks and enjoy.
My two year old daughter Phalguni, has not yet started talking full sentences. But, what ever she wants, she makes us understand by her actions. She has learnt few words properly and few words are her own language.
We really enjoy her talks. Just want to share few of her words!!!!
For
Mobile     she says         Badabad
Come       she says          Plum
Bye           she says          Baaaa
Car           she says          Caang
Ball          she says          Baam
Bowl        she says          Baam
Paratha  she says        Pathata
Apple      she says      Aappam
Book        she says     Boorrh
Pen          she says    Thaana
Moon       she says    Thaptha
Chappals or sandals   she says  pathapath

If she wants something more to eat, she says little tal(little star!!)
If she wants curds, she puts her forefinger on the tongue!!! and same for ice cream. I should understand according to situation!

She cannot pronounce e(ie)("इ" कार), so all the words which have "e" are pronounced as "aa"
for Eg,
Naani     is      Naana
Didi        is      Dada
Ajji         is      Ajjas
Mummy  is      mamma
Maami    is      maama
More funniest is,
Earlier, I used to give her Borunvita, and then started giving her Boost. Now when ever she wants to have milk, she comes to me saying, ' mamma, Boostpatha"(she has mixed boost and bournvita and made it as boostpatha).

More I will add, when she learns new words.

Multi purpose boxes from my daughter!

Tried and tasted by Nivedita
Hi all,
Two more art work from my elder daughter Rajul.
Few years back, I always used to throw the boxes, when ever I bought the things. But now a days I keep those for my daughter's art work. I keep the boxes for 2 -3 months. I will throw it out, if  I do not get any idea what to make out of that.
Last month, I bought the tea cup set and kept the box in the store room. Now as Rajul has school holidays, I asked her what she wants to make of that. She told, that she will use it to keep her clips, rubber bands.
I asked her "shall we decorate with the colorful laces" She was not ready for that. She wanted to paint the box. Then I thought if we do spray painting using old tooth brush, it will look nice. and for the border I told her to use her little finger.
So, here it is infront of you the art work fully done by her. I was just sitting beside her taking the tissue paper to wipe the paint, when ever she spilled the water or the paint.
This box can be used as Jewelery box, or hair accessories box or if you make it stand, you can keep small dolls. or if you remove one middle row, it can be used as doll house! The choice is yours!!

The next art is again the multi purpose box. It is made with old bangles.( all collection is from my mother's ward robe.) Go on keeping the bangles on a hard board (any shape) with the help of fevicol.

You can use it as pencil stand! or pen stand or to keep your visiting cards.

Just few sentences about my younger daughter Phalguni. (Rajul is feeling bad that I am not writing anything about her!!) Phalguni is only 2 years old. The whole day she will be writing in the book, with her sister's pencil or my pen. She wants only the things which her sister uses. So the whole day fighting will be on in my house.
And one more thing is, she will be singing the whole day in her language!!!

My daughter's corner

Tried and tasted by Nivedita
Hi All,
A lovely thought from Srivalli  of Spice your Life.
Having kids at home, makes you more creative and active. My daughter keeps me on toe, asking 100 questions at a time. She wants to participate in everything, let it be dance, singing, painting, Abacus and many more things. And it comes to me to see that she has to manage all the things with her studies.

She has given many dance shows when she was just 5 years old. She participates  in all the cultural programs and competitions in the school.

Rajul  drew and colored when she was in U KG.

Rajul's hand made card on  Teacher's day when she was in U KG.

Rajul's sand work(I helped only to draw the flowers) with glittered  painting.

She loves to cook also, she prepared her first omelet when she was 6 years,(under my supervision!)
I am posting few of her art works, which she did when she was in UKG(Now she is in 2nd grade). Now a days she is collecting coins from all the possible countries, and pasting them in a book with the country details. And she is more busy in playing outside,(Cycling, basketball, ring etc;) And she really takes good care of her little sister.
Her sense of humor is also very good. (Check here, Life and Laugh again!Life and Laugh)
Am I  too proud of her??????
But I think she deserves it!!!!
When it comes to eating, she is little fussy about the food, but she loves to eat home made food and Ice cream.

Life and Laugh again!

Tried and tasted by Nivedita
Hi All,
Again from my daughter's corner!!

This happened when we were back in UAE. Taking care of my daughter's study was my responsibility. But my husband loved to take Moral Education for her as he loved stories from her book. (Now also, he loves to read Tinkle, Chanda mama, Amar Chitra Katha etc., other than big books!!)
One day he came very tired from the office. He was lying on the bed, and told my daughter Rajul to press his legs(dance on his legs rather). She was in playing mood. Instead of pressing the legs, she asked him the question "Pappa, last week you taught me a lesson in Moral Education no? Do you remember which one is that?"
My husband took a moment and happily told(he is very proud of his memory power)
"Yes! I do, we learnt "SELF HELP IS THE BEST HELP"!!!!

That's all!!! She saw his face, smiled and ran out of the house to play!!!!

Life and Laugh

Tried and tasted by Nivedita
Hi All,
Children are very innocent, but still they teach us lessons with their innocence in the life, and make us laugh with the same innocence.
This is one recent experience I had last week.
My elder daughter Rajul was chatting online with her father last week. While chatting, he was explaining her that she is big girl now(only 7 yrs!!), and need to take care of mother(That's me), her sister, Naani(My mother), mama and mami. He wanted say do not trouble any one!

Her immediate reaction: Papa, I am not octopus,I don't have 8 hands to take care of all at one time!!!!

keep Smiling,
